Measuring Your Patio RV Awning

Getting an accurate measurement of your awning is critical. There is no reason to get on a ladder or the roof. Measuring your RV’s existing awning is simple.

Take a tape measure and record the total width from the center of your awning’s arm to the center of the other arm. Round up to the nearest foot and you have the information needed.  Below is a visual aid to help you better understand the measuring process.

Measuring Your Slide-out Cover

Measuring your slideouts is a simple. The measuring is done from flange to flange. You can do this from the ground. The flange is the outer flap that goes around the slideout box. This is always done in inches.

Be sure to record the extension when the slideout box when fully extended.
